So you want your own indoor bouldering wall! So did I, and this is how I did it!
1) A quick trip to the local DIY store for 2 sheets of 8 foot by 4 foot Marine Ply or OSB. A bag load of wood screws and 7 lengths of 3" x 2" timber 8 foot lengths.

2) Knock the frame together! Measure up where you are inteding your wall to go, mine is in my living room, and make sure you allow at least 10mm at the top of your wall. i.e. height of room 2000mm height of wall would be 1990mm.

3) Construct the frame as shown in the diagram.

4) Now cut your Plywood or OSB down to fit the frame and attach with your woodscrews. Make sure screws are place about 12 inches apart.

5) You are now ready to lay out your grid ready for fitting your holds. I have laid my grid out in 12inch squares, you can do it however you like. Using an appropriate drill bit drill holes in your grid making sure you don't hit any of the joists! So start 6 inches from each edge, this should ensure an evenly displaced grid that misses all joists.

6) Using a hammer knock the t-plates that your climbing holds will screw into from the back of the wall! This allows you to easily move your holds later on.
7) Add features, you can buy packs of fixed features/foot holds that can be added in between your climbing holds to add a little more variation.
8) Now it's time to raise the wall and put it in place. The ideal way is to bolt the wall directly to a supporting wall in your home. You can even add a pully system to allow you ti incline the wall also. I have simply used 3 small wedges under the wall and wedged it against the ceiling, this is far from ideal and NOT recommended! Do as I say not as I do!
