Climbing: A UK Adventure Sport

Why Climb?

Why not should be your answer. Climbing is one of the best forms of leisure activities to strengthen both body and mind. Whether you practice in a gym for fun or go out and explore the climbing offered right here in the UK, your body will not be disappointed. With added upper and lower-body strength, you will not only shed unwanted flab, but feel notably fitter. The strength of mine garnered by this disciplined outdoor exercise will positively affect all aspects of your overall health, including lowering your stress, improving cardiovascular function, and a better overall to manage the day to day difficulties you´re placed under.

Options Right Here to Hit the Wall

The greatest advantage to climbing for sport is there are so many options at the ready. Too many sports require lots of equipment, months of training, plus extensive travel to reach the best places to do it. Not so with climbing, you have literally thousands of prime climbing spots located right here at home. From the Peak District of Derbyshire, Yorkshire, and Staffordshire, to the coastal cliffs and caves of Devon, you will have plenty of variety and options. In the Peak District alone there are over 10,000 recorded climb sites.

Fit for Life

There is a reason why climbing hobbyists are sometimes thought to be fanatical: They are addicted to the thrill of climbing. Climbing hones your body, in total form. From your arms to your midsection, back and legs, you get a total body workout. Add in the thrill of conquering ominously sheer towers of rock and cliff, and it´s easy to understand why once you start to climb, you rarely stop. Think of your health and the total mind and body benefits offered by climbing. Instead of staying in this weekend, get some equipment and go take on Mother Nature. Go climb.
